Full Truck Load
Truckload is a mode of freight for larger shipments that typically occupy more than half and up to the full capacity of a 48’ or 53’ trailer. This method is commonly used when shippers decide they have enough items to fill a truck, want their shipment in a trailer by itself, the freight is time-sensitive or the shipper decides it’s more cost-effective than other options.
Less than Truckload (LTL)
LTL shipping is the transportation of freight that occupies only a portion of an entire trailer. Multiple shippers share space on the same truck only paying for their portion, making LTL a cost efficient method of shipping freight.
Dry Van
Dry Vans typically are 48’ or 53’ long. Dry van trailers can carry pallets or loose freight, and they can be unloaded via a forklift or with the assistance of a liftgate.
Flatbed
Flatbed shipping is the mode of transportation used for heavy duty equipment, raw materials, or any specialized product that would create a load that is over-sized, over length, or wide. Flatbed shipping is best for shipments that quick loading and un loading or that do not have access to a dock, such as a construction site.
Refrigerated
Refrigerated shipments are for the transportation of goods that are sensitive to climate conditions, thus they must remain in a temperature controlled climate. Typically refrigerated shipments are used for perishables or temperature sensitive goods such as, produce, meats, or pharmaceuticals etc.
Expedited
Expedited freight refers to time-critical shipments in which freight has to be delivered quickly. Expedited freight is most often transported by trucks ranging from pickup/sprinter vans to full tractor trailers or via air.
HotShot
Hotshot loads are typically used when a load needs to be shipped quickly and can fit on a sprinter van or on varying ranges of gooseneck trailers.
